Carrick Retained for President SearchCharlotte, N.C. (June 16, 2011) - Mr. Paul Fisher, Chairman of the Catawba College Board of Trustees has announced that the college will begin a national search for its 23rd president. Fisher also announced that Trustee Bill Graham, a 1983 Catawba graduate, will Chair the Presidential Search Committee. "As we begin our search for the 23rd President of Catawba College, our search will focus on finding a candidate that is first and foremost a leader. A leader with enthusiasm for higher education combined with bold and visionary goals to serve Catawba College and the surrounding community for many years to come," said Graham. Graham further noted that Ken Carrick, President of Coleman Lew & Associates in Charlotte, NC and a Catawba graduate, has been retained to assist with the search. Catawba College, located in Salisbury, NC, is a private, co-educational, residential college, grounded in the liberal arts tradition and offering Bachelor's and Master's degrees to traditional and non-traditional students. The college, which is affiliated with the United Church of Christ, further serves the public through educational outreach and volunteer service programs for the world community. Catawba also participates in NCAA Division II athletics as a member of the South Atlantic Conference.
